Woodland Owl

I have a thing for little owls, so mysterious, so beautiful.. the perfect well wisher for a birthday methinks..

A little woodland owl surrounded in a wreath of flowers, ferns and butterflies.. to wish your special one Happy Birthday .

My original design was painted in watercolors, it has been reproduced on gorgeous quality card with matching envelope available in The Sacred Gift store

Happy Tuesday to you all..

Cheers , Helen

One of my secrets disclosed..

I am into Philately..

yup.. I'm a closet Philatelist..

haha I just love this word ... ( for those not in the know)..

I collect stamps..

 BUT

only. the. very . pretty ones.

Flora and Fauna only.. and I'm very picky..  I see them as tiny works of art.. little miniature paintings..

I am in love with my new little hoard..

Ferns, vintage seed packets and Songbirds.. my kinda heaven .

Blooming purple..

Its Spring !.. and the hill country of Texas is showing off with it's gorgeous spring bluebonnets this year..

I found this stunning fat thistle down at the river... I love this fuchsia and grey/green together..

The orchid on my patio.. so pretty..

Hmmm.. I feel a watercolor painting of an orchid needs to happen soon :)

In the pink..

I used to love this old saying my parents used to say.. "We are 'in the pink' ".. meaning everything is going well.. and rosy' I guess ..

I recently purchased 4 antique rose bushes.. old southern roses that are proven to survive the long hot Texas summer.

I am so excited to announce I have my first bloom !.. this is McClinton Tea' .. such pretty cupped petals and lovely tea fragrance.

I'm so looking forward to see what the others look ( and smell) like.

To me a rose just 'ain't a rose if it doesn't smell ridiculously gorgeous!.. haha
